Overnight Stay and Travel
If you have not already sorted accommodation, we recommend the Invercarse Hotel, there are only 10 rooms left at
the event rate however, simply state STMHC Tournament and you will be given a discounted price. The Dinner will
take place at this venue.
The Apex Hotel and Malmaison are both at the slightly up market end but there are a good many other hotels around
Dundee all close to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the bars and restaurants in the city and to the Bus and Railway
Stations should you wish to opt for a slightly cheaper option.
The railway station is on a direct link from Kings Cross and St Pancras Eurostar while Edinburgh Airport is about 1
hour away by car or by direct Airport bus.
Insurance
The Tournament will be covered by Public Liability Insurance. However, we wish to emphasize that each team should
arrange its own insurance per player and that your entry form and payment for the tournament will not institute a
claim of any nature against Scottish Thistles Masters Hockey Club, Dundee High School or Dundee Wanderers
Hockey Club and will not hold Scottish Thistles Masters Hockey Club, Dundee High School, Dundee Wanderers
Hockey Club or any member of these organizations responsible for any damage or loss of any nature.
Physiotherapist and First Aid
We have approached both Dundee University and Abertay University looking for any 2nd or 3rd year student who
may wish to gain 'hands-on' sports massage experience and if we hear from them in the next couple of weeks I will
circulate their names to you all should you wish to contact anyone direct. We are struggling to find any physiotherapy
practitioners in the Dundee area who would charge per person, say £4.00 or £5.00 per treatment, but should you wish
to bring your own massage person please bring a pop-up gazebo or let me know if you would like one put up, I will
see what I can do.
We have also arranged two members of St Andrews First Aid to be in attendance for the entire event. Hopefully not
being used apart from cuts and bruises!
Match Schedule, Results and Photos
Please be aware that during the Tournament pictures will be taken. These will be available on our Club website and on
Dundee Wanderers' website. By participating, it will be assumed that all players will have given their approval for the
publication of these pictures, taken during the Tournament, together with any commentary. Any publication will not
include personal names.
