Durham

Durham is a very enjoyable and sociable event. Great facilities: two quality astros at Durham University. Great daytime food: either Durham Uni cafe or the secret garden across the road from the pitches. Great social: friendly group and good beer at night.
It is also a mostly weekday event:
– Thursday 26th from 10am. Possible social in the evening or Thistles gather at a great riverside pub.
– Friday 27th from 10am. BBQ evening at Durham Rugby Club.
– Saturday 28th 10am to 1.30pm
BTW: Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon LX are holding an intra-club tournament and any Thistles who want to stay on and play can choose to do so.
Neil Mackenzie has been volunteered to be Event Coordinator and will provide details of hotels, answer any questions and notify the event fee probably under £30.
The principal social
will be the Friday evening BBQ at Durham Rugby Club.

There will be 3 LX teams (Bishops, Knights and Earls), Thistles and Dragons.
The format for Thursday and Friday will be a round robin tournament with everyone playing 4 x 25 minute games on each day. There will be a 5 minute break between each game. We should have umpires but players may be called on where necessary. Could LXers bring red and white shirts and Thistles and Dragons a change colour. We will work out colours on the day but generally second named team will change.
