SUMMARY:Dragons Swansea\, Men - 18/19 July
DESCRIPTION:Update 7th July:  Sorry to say that many of the Thistles regulars who would have attended are committed to training schedules for the World Cup which is in August.  After the re-marketing failed to produce a full squad I contacted Dragons and agreed to pass on the names of those interested in combining with Dragons to still enjoy the weekend but not in a blue shirt. If anyone else is still interested in playing as part of a Dragons team then please email me. \n———– \nThis is a regular Thistles event; great social and very enjoyable on the two quality astros at Swansea University Sports Park.  This is an “Open” event though a little fairness will be needed if heavily oversubscribed. \n– Date: CONFIRMED Saturday 18th July 10am to Sunday 19th July 4pm. \n– Venue:  Pitches are at King George V Playing Fields SA2 9AU.   The Sketty Lane entrance SA2 8QB is for the university building and the large overflow car park. \n– Teams:  Mixed age and ability teams from across out Sixties Plus age groups with scope for possible under-agers \n– Opposition: Dragons (2 or 3)\, LX (2)\, Gatfers and other west of England. \n– Format:  Multiple 50 mins matches. \nThere is either a dinner on the Saturday evening at the University or a BBQ at the pitch pavilion. \nSingle room accommodation at the adjacent halls of residence (walking distance to ground but all single rooms) at £TBA + VAT per person per night for Friday and Saturday nights or only Saturday night is available if notified in advance. There are many hotels to choose from in Swansea and the Mumbles area. \nUse the  Submit button to register and once an Event Coordinator is appointed registration can also be done by contacting him.

SUMMARY:EC Lille. M65\, M70\, M75\, M80 - Apply For
DESCRIPTION:To avoid too many event listings we are using a combined Apply For for Lille in June/July and the coordinators (once appointed) will sieve this and contact everyone direct. \n————- \nFor the European Championship strict WMH rules apply.  1) WMH age is the age you turn during 2027 –  I’m 69 and in May I turn 70 so my WMH age lets me play M70.  2) All our squads can take two under-agers within two years under; thus our M70 can take two who are WMH age 68 or 69.  3) You can play Scotland National and Thistles in the same year but not at the same WMH event (e.g you can play W55 Thistles in May and W60 Scotland in June).  For Thistles this is the only event this year run under these strict WMH rules.  Note: Special Dispensation could be sought outwith these rules (which we have previously done for Carlos to attend more than one event) but it does not have to be granted.  Please ensure you register for the correct event: \nMay 21-29 in Valencia is M55\, W55 and W65 \nJune 10-18 in Valencia is M60\, W60 and W70 \nJune 25-July 3 in Lille is M65\, M70\, M75 and M80 \nJuly 2-10 in The Hague is M35\, M40\, M45\, M50\, W35\, W40\, W45\, W50 \n————— \nLILLE M65 or M70 or M75 or M80 – register interest (Apply For)\nDate: Friday 25 June to Saturday 3 July.  The organisers require you to be present on the Friday for registration.  Your coordinator may require you earlier than Friday for practice.  The final matches can be any time on the Friday or Saturday depending on standings and scheduling.  The schedule is unlikely to be available until six weeks beforehand. \nLocation: Lille\, France (not the place for the ISVT Lille event that we attend in March).  Most likely address is:  Lille Métropole Hockey Club\, 106 Av.
