With Tim unable to take this year's Swansea he passed the organisation to Milky. It was a slow start generating the squad but quickly filled up to full capacity. With a couple of weeks to go we had a worrying conversation with Dragons that the event might not go ahead - understandable due to the amount of tournaments on over the space of a few months this year. But the teams attending had the desire to play and thankfully Swansea 2025 went ahead.
We went to Swansea with a mixed Team of ages and experience. Due to this on day 1 it was a slow start losing 2-1 to a well established Dragons White. Second game was losing 1-0 to the quite young looking Aboriginals. So we had lunch and after some discussion and changes were ready for our third game of the day against the Gatfers. As agreed we dug our heels in and managed to get a 0-0 scoreline.
Then it was onto social that evening having 14 out of the 15 squad out for the meal what a turn out and what a party.
On Sunday we had only one game which ended up losing 1-0 against Dragon Reds.
Though the Scorelines were not in our favour this tournament we all agreed it was a great weekend and thank the Dragons for hosting the event. Our player or the tournament was Mike Robert’s who put in a great effort at right back and didn’t think twice when asked him to pushing up to midfield. He embraced the role very well.
Thank you all for attending .
