ROME INTERNATIONAL.  Wonderful results for both the Ladies' W65 and the Men's M70 with the Ladies playing their ace beating LX to take the gold.  Meanwhile the men had to accept silver against a rather national looking Gens Italia.  Glorious weather, excellent hospitality and finals for both, what more could you ask.

INTERNATIONAL MASTERS CUP (World Cup). Great performances from all the teams especially as the IMC includes the official B teams of the big boys from across the world.  In Brasschaat Belgium our M55 came 6th and M60 came 7th.  In Breda, Holland our M65 came 7th and our M70 came 8th in playoff, 7th in league.

All the big events are on the diary including Dundee 13-15 Aug.  Festivals will be added as soon as we know the dates.  Fraid I'm well behind other website updates.

Apocryphal from Sept Fest: "Oh, we could have put in two teams..."  We have to enter and pay many many months in advance so if you want more teams you need to let us know interest levels months in advance. Use our chosen system on the Diary:

  • "Apply For" is the easiest for us to track interest.  It does not commit you.  Even if you might be in National this keeps you in the loop.
  • "Commit To" will be compulsory in 2027 and can only be used by the squad assembled by the Event Coordinator.  This guarantees your a place.

Apply For events (or WhatsApp to coordinator) as early as possible to register your interest.  The Commit To page is "Protected" and the coordinator provides access to the assembled squad.

Apologies, I'm behind on updating the website.  All major events are available on the Diary.

The recent PHP scare was sorted immediately by our hosting company.  (If this means nothing to you then sleep well at night.)

We are having a few problems with over-aggressive anti-spam software, so if you are expecting an email (e.g. confirmation of event entry) check spam.  It really helps if you can "whitelist" all emails from scottishthistleshockey.org.  Check online and AI will tell you how to add our address to the whitelists on your chosen platform.

Membership Renewal 2027 is automatic.  You will be charged your £30 (where applicable) on 1st January and require to have sufficient funds in your Thistles pot at that date.  If you do not wish to renew let one of us know.  An email from The President about this will be sent after the mid-terms.
