Report on Ladies Indoor Sunday 12 December

Match report Sunday 12 December

The team was really looking forward to our second indoor outing. It was a beautiful day in Perth and we had two games back to back. There were two issues that hinder getting better results on the day:

  1. We requested to have back to back games due to outdoor Masters commitments. That meant we had two games one after another which proved to be too much for our level of fitness. Unfortunately there was a heavy loss in the second game- however we can say that the final score did not reflect the game at all as we were very competitive and the opposition took every single possible chance and converted a goal.
  2. We had late cancelations, one to be the goalie. So one of our outfield players, Vicki Perry stepped out and put the goalie kit on at the last minute. Considering that she has never played in goals before, she made a bunch of amazing saves and we are very grateful for her gallantry and commitment to the team.

First game was against a very young and skilful team Glasgow University. We fought valiantly and we had controversial goal disallowed, which could have changed the course of the game. Second game was against an extremely experience Perthshire team, with very experienced and skilful defenders and youthful forwards, which proved to be a lethal combination.

Final score: 1-3 to Glasgow University & 0-8 to Perthshire.

Once again,  we are extremely grateful to our club, our coach Ellen and our Sponsor Allied Mobility https://www.facebook.com/alliedmobility/
