December Open Day – FROST CANCELLED

29 Nov update.  CANCELLED.

The pitch in Edinburgh is already frozen and the forecast from now until Sunday is more sub-zero nights.  So we’ve taken the early decision to cancel so that you can do all sorts of exciting things with this newly freed up time.  Next date will be April assuming we can find a Sunday not already dedicated to other hockey happenings.

We have arranged another Thistles Open Day.  This is a great opportunity for all our members (male, female, from youngish to not yet too old) to turn up, play and socialise with other Thistles members.  The previous Open Day was well attended with numbers allowing six teams and deemed a great success.  There is no match fee for the day and a few guests (i.e. would like to play with Thistles in 2024) may be allowed.

Bring a dark blue and a white shirt to play in.  Format and teams will be organised based on you registering in the new Application System.  Further information will be posted on the website and a last-resort point of contact will be arranged in the final fortnight.

Date:  Sunday 3rd December.  (With apologies to those involved in International training/selection for any clash of dates.)

Time:  On the pitch ready to play from 1pm until 4pm

Location:  Both pitches at MES Sports Centre (The Mary Erskine School), Craigleith Rise, Edinburgh EH4 3NT (entrance is off Ravelston Dykes Road, west of traffic lights)
