Standard playing kit is dark "Blue - Blue - Blue"

Change colour is "White - White - Red" and often mixed with the blue kit

Sorry, but you are not allowed to play in the new Scottish Hockey New Balance kit - wrong colour of blue, wrong club.

---> SHIRTS/VEST

Our own logo dark blue Thistles branded shirt/vest with your number added.  Change: same in white.  These are ordered especially for you via the new Shirt Order Form that you can find here.

  1. We only want members to play in the new "Scottish Thistles Masters HC" logo shirts.  All previous shirts (e.g. Scotland LX) have to be retired.
  2. New Members:  Both the shirts are at a combined subsidised price of £20.
  3. The sizing chart can be found here.  Honesty moment:  in t-shirts I am a large 40in with a bit of a dad-bod belly.  The Thistles shirts have no stretch and the 42in fits me well enough.
  4. The shirts are made to order with your specific number in the size you choose.  If you order the wrong size then the replacement will be at full price.

---> SHORTS/SKORT

Our own logo dark blue Canterbury brand shorts/skort.  Change: Canterbury brand white shorts/skort.  These can be ordered from the PSL site (to be added).

  1. Whilst Thistles branded shorts are now available, for a couple of seasons we shall be okay with members using the former Scottish Hockey branded dark blue Canterbury shorts.
  2. White shorts are a pain; WMH ask us to take them then never ask us to play in the them, so for the moment any plain white shorts will be fine.

---> SOCKS

Plain (makers logo only) Dark Blue socks.  Change: Plain (makers logo only) Red socks

  1. Our recommended socks are Canterbury Team socks however Canterbury are thinking of no longer making these (!).  So for the moment any plain (makers logo only) dark blue will do.
  2. For red socks most Scottish based players have red socks for their Saturday club and provided they are plain (makers logo only) these will do fine.
  3. Most events are tolerant of some inconsistency on kit but for WMH events (e.g. World/Euro Championship) we have to register our exact kit and only that kit can be played in.

Notes on Sourcing Your Kit

HALBRO and PSL.  Shirts are sourced via us from Halbro.  For all other kit (shorts, socks, tracksuits etc) we are using PSL and are currently finalising the relationship so that they will establish an online shop for you to order from them directly everything except the shirts.  Until the online shop is open please email Chris for the latest information - kit@scottishthistleshockey.org

NEWLY JOINED:  A heavily subsidised £20 to get both the colours is available to new members.  Make contact to be allocated a shirt number that you will keep for your Thistles playing journey.

GOAL KEEPERS:  Your first set of smocks are free.  If you also wish playing shirts then the first set is as if Newly Joined.

REPLACEMENT:  These are not subsidised and are £29 per single shirt.  Please use the order form and include your existing Thistles shirt number.

SHIRTS/VESTS are not kept in stock.  Chris arranges ordering a new batch and normally there is up to a six week lead time.  Once available the shirts can be collected at an event or sent to you for £6.60 (at Sept 2024).  If the event date is close and you need to borrow a shirt/vest please advise the Event Coordinator and what size.
